September Meeting Of the Connellsville area Historical Society

Wednesday, September 18th, 2024 @6pm

The September meeting of the Connellsville Historical Society will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the Colonel Crawford Cabin Site along the Yough. The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm. The speaker for the evening will be Matt Gault. Director of Education, from Fort Ligonier. Matt began his career at Fort Ligonier as a student intern while attending the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He has received several awards for his outstanding work. Matt has spoken to the Historical Society several times and always presents an entertaining and informative message.

The title of his presentation is “Fort Ligonier Revisited”. How does 100 years of preservation impact on our view of history? There will be discussion of the resources as viewed with fresh eyes.

Members and other interested people are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served. Come and enjoy the beauty of the Youghiogheny in the fall.
